Meet the Trainer, Lori!

Lori headshotEvery relationship with a dog is unique, and Lori Snyder’s training approach reflects that belief. Lori focuses on helping dogs and their people better understand one another, building communication, trust, and a stronger everyday bond. She views training as a relationship—one that should feel supportive, rewarding, and enjoyable for both ends of the leash.

A Certified Dog Trainer since 2012, Lori studied Dog Training & Management and canine behavior under Susan Bulanda at Kutztown University and gained hands-on experience by shadowing private training sessions. (The KU program is where Lori and Rayne, founder of Cold Nose Lodge, first met!) Lori added the title of CPDT-KA to her training accomplishments in December 2024.

With more than 14 years of experience teaching group classes and private lessons, Lori now offers group dog training classes at Cold Nose Lodge and The Puppy Palace. She also has private training through her own company, Get Connected Canine Coaching, LLC. (If private in-home lessons are a better fit for you than attending group classes, please check out Lori’s business here: www.getconnectedcanine.com)

Lori is a positive reinforcement trainer, meaning she uses reward-based methods, concept training, and games to make learning effective and enjoyable for dogs and their people.

Committed to continuing education, Lori has attended Karen Pryor Clicker Expo multiple times and has completed advanced coursework and mentorships through organizations such as the Grisha Stewart Academy and IAABC. She is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen and Trick Dog evaluator. She also studied dog behavior while managing at CNL for many years.

Lori enjoys helping people build clearer communication and stronger relationships with their dogs and looks forward to working with dogs and owners at Cold Nose Lodge. 🐾
